Thank you all for this site by the way. I am in the process of beginning what appears to be a walk down hell street by what I'm reading. I am curious to know what many of you are taking with regard to the dosage. I am on 30g's but have spoken to people that have been as high as 120g. I'm wondering if the symptoms of all this is directly related to the amount of g's our bodies are on. So far I am having mild head achs and wow, the dream last night was as vivid as can be. As long as the dreams are good I can handle that. I just over slept this morning.

Day one (Sunday) I skipped a day thinking I would go every other day until I could go every 2 days but that back fired on me in a big way. My head hurt so bad yesterday I knocked myself out with a Zanax. Today I'm on 15g's. My head is OK, my work performace is fine also. I just received 4 20gs of prozac that I will begin to take as recommended bysomeone on this site.

Have many of you consulted with your doctors prior to going off? I have not. I just want to feel who I am again for real. Eat right and work out. The dependance factor is freaking me out.

Looking forward to chatting with you as I progress to the end of this 9 months of well, lets just say I partied allot on this crap and I want it to be over.

Welcome to the site! Glad you found us when you needed us. As Greybeard said, it is best to let your dr know that you want to stop the Cymbalta. Some drs are aware of the potential for problems, but many are not. If your dr is informed, he/she should be willing to prescribe Prozac for you to help ease the symptoms of withdrawal. It's never a good idea to take meds that are not prescribed to you. Plus, most of us who used Prozac or another antidepressant during withdrawal, took it for a while. I took 20mgs Prozac daily for about 5 weeks. I tried stopping it during week 3, but that ended up being too soon, so I went back on it. I've been off it now for almost 3 weeks and I feel really good. Please remember that your symptoms could get worse before they get better. Check in here for support when you need it, and keep us posted on your progress! Best of luck to you!
