Hi, I have been on 60 mg of cymbalta for approx 6 months. Before that I was on 150 mg of effexor for 4 or 5 years. I have fibromyaglia and chronic fatigue that was diagnososed in 2001 and that is when I started with the effexor. Up until this spring the effexor was working fine, but when I started having more pain and fatigue my rhumotologist said that maybe I had built up a tolerance to the effexor and he wanted to try the cymbalta. I was OK with it since he hasn't led me down the wrong path so far. I still don't think he has led me down the wrong path but I do think that cymbalta and I need to part ways.

I have been having panic attacks and they seemed to be getting worst in the last 2 - 3 months. Looking on the internet I saw a post that mentioned cymbalta sometimes causes panic or anxiety to become worse, so I decided to start the wean down process. Well, I started on 11/6 which is 5 days ago taking just 30 mg instead of 60 and the first day or two I was fine. The past two days I have started feeling really bad. I am acheing and I am so tired. I also have this strange detacted feeling. Yesterday and today I have noticed that I am having sharp pains in the right side of my head. Anyone have the sharp pains in the head thing??

i do have an appointment with my rhuemie tomorrow so I guess I need to tell him what is going on.

Well, let me know about the sharp pains if you have them and what to do about them.
