Over the past few years my health has been declining and the biggest issue is neurological issues and severe fatigue...been doing more reading and guess what cymbalta can cause. Wonderful. Somehow I lost my last bottle of Cymbalta the other day and needed a refill appt with doc, I took this as my "seize the moment" time...I AM DONE! Done being held hostage by a medication. I have an appt with my doctor Friday and am on night 2 without my cymbalta. With her help this stops now! Never putting that crap in my body again!!! Not a fan of how out of it I feel and the headache, but I know it will pass, and for the next 24 hrs I will take a low dose Xanax when I want to rip someone's face off and see what she wants to put me on for the withdrawl phase. Got my B vitamins and my OMega 3s and will take this monster on!
As my son would say....Oohrah!

weaning for me took about 6months cymbalta60 to 30mg then prozac20mg with the cymbalta30 for a week stop Cymbalta continue prozac20mg daily now here's where you can tailor it to your own body and discontinuation symptoms how fast or slow you taper for me I took the Prozac daily for a couple of months then every other day for awhile then dropped to 10mg every other day all the while monitoring how I felt then one Saturday I forgot to take it and now its been a week and no meds no discontinuation symptoms either so just take it easy you can get off it I've read that 80% of people don't have a problem getting off Cymbalta unfortunately that didn't include me! Oh yes this was under a doctors supervision I found one that understood the situation he still thought I should of been off it faster so don't hurry just know there is an end to this ....zazzed
