I don't have much support for me while I'm going through this, my sister don't quite understand and thinks I'm making this up. She is also on Cymbalta 60mg for 7 years. She just told me yesterday she had stopped the Cymbalta 6 days ago and said she doesn't feel any withdrawal symptoms. I am like why did you stopped just like that, she told me she had done it before and nothing happened. She is also on Seroquel on top of Cymbalta. I am wondering if that's why she hasn't had any withdrawal symptoms.

I told her it might happen after it leaves her system. She also takes care of my elderly mother. She also told me she will go back on the Cymbalta at some point, and mentioned something about another antidepressant. I hope she knows what she is getting into. I wish she said something before she stopped taking it or see doctor first, I do know she is looking for a doctor that will accept her insurance.

My support I have is with my therapist and coming here to read posts to keep positive from others here on this forum - I am hanging in here with the symptoms while increasing the Prozac to 20mgs to help knock out this then stick with it until ready to wean off Prozac slowly afterwards.

To anyone who says they do not have the support, I first want to say how sorry I am and that I wish I could be right there with you, because I know it's hard. But remember, on here, we are all helping each other. I know it's a bit different than having someone right there with ya, but we are here. I am so thankful to have found this place, this forum. I feel like I can say anything, like I can ask a question, and not feel dumb or belittled. If anyone needs someone to talk to, please reach out to me! I'll do my best to ensure that I am there for you. :) Especially when you have no real support in your life, or maybe you feel that way (if it is or isn't, doesn't matter, it's how you feel). <3
