Here is what I know so far;
1) long term use of Cymbalta can cause sterility in women. Rare though. You can read about that in a condition called Post SSRI Sexual Dysfunction.
2) Zoloft is currently the only ssri that is listed as causing birth defects but both Prozac and Cymbalta are currently under review. A class action lawsuit has been filed already against the manufacturers of Prozac and Cymbalta for causing birth defects.
3) I keep up with the medical research on the ssri/snri and about half says they are safe to take and the other half say they are dangerous during pregnancy. That is as clear as mud!!
If you want some further details on the research just let me know and I will send you some links.

I can say that it did not effect me. I was on Cymbalta for 5 years and we figured we would try again and I had my IUD removed in November. And here I am going cold turkey since I am due in December.
I think it is the one think that is helping me thru the withdrawals is that this is for the baby and not just for me.
