In the future want 2B off Cymbalta! The physicians are no help. Looking for understanding, support & encouragement as I know this is a difficult process. Want 2 be of help 2 others who will find this site looking for same things as I.

Lap top in shop. Difficult to use my 'smart' phone. Cymbalta free since March 18th. Four weeks since hip revision surgery. Hanging in there. Anxious to be back in my saddle again. But scheduled for CT myelogram next Tues due numbness and pain in my left arm. Always something tho.
Positive thoughts and prayers for everyone here on the Cymbalta forum.

Hi Equuswoman

Time to treat yourself: tell them to keep your laptop and go to the Apple Store and pick up a MacBook Pro.

Are you taking apple cider vinegar? It's fixed my hip and hand arthritis up almost completely.....maybe it would be of help for you?

EW...  I have arthritis - same as FN and have been drinking this every morning for about a month now.  It has all but eliminated the arthritis pain and it took between 2-3 weeks! :)

The standard recipe is:

1 cup hot water

2 T. apple cider vinegar (I can't handle this much so I have cut it down some)

1 T. honey

1/2 t. cinnamon

I drink this 5 mornings a week and enjoy my coffee on the weekends.  Not only has this helped the pain, it has also regulated my entire system - feel so much better! :D

I strongly recommend it and wish you the best..

Love, hugs and prayers,

Liz

Hi EW, I use TFls recipe....early early in withdrawal I was taking swigs straight out of the bottle! (My taste buds were totally whacked back then....Blech)....and, I use only Braggs ACV....it's unfiltered....has the "mother" in it....weird thing to call it....that's the floaty misty stuff we used to have in our home made apple cider.....supposed to be the key element...

Don't ever use distilled vinegar....way too strong...

I wonder if ACV has helped with fibro? I'm gonna do some googling.....

FN.... I have definitely not found any improvement in the fibro, but then I am not "average" by a long shot!  Also, I am fortunate to not have the fibro as badly as some...

Well, I'm finding lots of discussion about ACV on the fibro forums, natural healing and alternative remedies sites....some say yes, it helps, others say nope....nothing enthusiastic as with how it helps for arthritis....don't have time now, but I'm sufficiently curious that I want to dig into some actual research about ACV....what it's comprised of, why it helps arthritis, and why it might not do so for fibro....

Fishinghat, dear friend, do you have some articles on this in your vast stash? :-)

Well FN, here is what I have.

http://www.ehow.com/...bromyalgia.html

This article explains the basics of using ACV to treat Fibro. I found maybe 50 articles or so that say basically the same thing and many forums that say it works,

http://www.ncbi.nlm..../pubmed/8587088

This research article demonstrates that malic acid is very beneficial in treating fibro. AND malic acid is one of the main ingredients in ACV. It is suggested that there must be magnesium present for it to work and there is nagnesium in ACV.

Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar is the type most often mentioned on the forums.

Dayum, FH, you are good, very good!

I worked from that, and ended up with "magnesium malate" for fibro....

http://www.psycholog...eral-deficiency

This link is to customer reviews of mag malate supplement, posted on amazon.....interesting.....

http://www.amazon.co...iews/B000GFJJKQ

I'm going to copy/paste this fibro info from the last several posts over to the other thread(s) we have specifically on fibro....

Hey tfl. Help me out please. In your post you say 2 tablespoons ACV but on the Braggs jar it says 2 teaspoons ACV. Do you actually take 2 tablespoons?

Hi fh...

What I posted is the recipe I found somewhere here online, but no, I cannot handle that much ACV - way too strong!!

I use about 1 Tablespoon or a little less (I don't measure anything) - I am a wimp  when it comes to that strong taste.  I have not purchased the Bragg's yet, so I have been using what I have here - the regular grocery store stuff but it works! :)  Sounds as tho the Bragg's recipe is the way to go.

Good luck and your taste buds will thank you!

Liz
