5 months on cymbalta, scary side effects, to get help and to return the favor if I can.

Am I the only one with this?

Had to go out and buy gravol.

Been going on and off for a while.

Ginger ale and crackers won't do it.

Anyone? Merci.

Hi Gail

I found that nausea would pop up every couple of weeks during the first year of discontinuation. It appeared less and less frequently, and now at 2 years of discontinuation I get a couple of days of nausea every month or so. Nothing serious. It's definitely made worse by over-eating (sometimes I don't know when I'm full); also, eating in the evening is bad for me.

My nausea may not be related to discontinuation; there's no way to know.

Fh, I must think that you had your hands full of other symptoms and you did not need this one.

Merci!

I had a lot of nausea, diarrhea, cramping and other gi issues for the first 4 weeks and then they disappeared. I hope things clear up for you soon.

I am week 3 cold turkey and I still feel nauseous and hungover 24/7. Gravol has NOT helped.

Hang in there Elizabeth.  This is the worst part of the withdrawal. In a week or two you should start to see improvements.

God Bless.

On day 13 and the nausea returned.....hang in there all of of! We will overcome.

I too have found if I eat too much or too heavy I feel awful and the gi irritation returns right away.

Elizabeth

Gravol won't help with the nausea and Advil or other NSAIDs won't work on the headaches either. As FH said, the first part is the worst. Things start to pick up after about 6 weeks.

Take care.

At more than 5 months, I must say that one tablet and a half did a nice job today.

At the beginning nothing much helped but time.

We all respond differently.

Hi, Gail --

I, too, am at the five-month mark, and I have TERRIBLE nausea, so I definitely feel your pain! For me, it helps to eat smaller meals, and to drink lots of water (cold water, especially).

When my stomach is really, really bothering me, I take some Pepto Bismol, but it tends to make me sleepy, so I make sure it's at a time when I'll be able to take a good hour-long nap.

I hope these tips help. Just know that you aren't alone! *big hug*

Hello wah, had the nausea disappeared? And come back?

Mine had. Drinking lots of water. No problem for light meals here, appetite is so so.

And the bonus of gravol is that it made me real drowsy, napped for a good 2 hours in the afternoon.

Yes, it always good to see that we are not alone.

Thanks for taking the time to reassure me, means a lot.
