looks like the british NHS has been convinced that if you drink two glasses of wine a day you need help - so big pharma has the cure, nalmefene - docs are being requested to ask patients how much they drink - and give them a pill. no mention in this article on whether or not the patients actually have a drinking problem. this pill costs about 3 pounds a piece - thats almost $5

Read so many painful stories on here and offering others support while trying to heal myself from cymbalta and other antidepressents.

Hell, for a bit more than 3 pounds, or $7 I can buy a six pack of beer ... granted, cheapo .. but still does the trick ... or, a bottle of "chateau roof run-off" from the local package store ... I am so damn sick of the government ... all governments ... telling me what to eat, drink, do ... what not to eat, drink, do ... and Michelle O can take her idea for talking grocery carts that tell us what healthy foods we need to buy and put it into the place from whence her own grey goose vodka, lobster and wagyu beef exit ... http://www.dailymail...lunchrooms.html

Do ya' think we could get them to focus on something important ... ISIL? Ebola? The lousy economy? Taking dangerous drugs like Crapalta off the market? Giving us back our decent health insurance?

Brits, Americans, Aussies, Irish ... didn't note any from the Italians ... Carleeta, get in there and comment ... can't discuss drinking without including you guys .... heheheheh

i'm gonna guess if the italian and french health systems ever came up with such an "initiative" it would be for the opposite reason. if you only drank two glasses of wine a night they would recommend a pill that would encourage you to drink more of the national beverage! guess cymbalta would do the trick given that many of us drank like fish while on it!

hahahahahah .... gasp ... hahahahha ... Brzghoff ... good one!

And, what about the Russians and their vodka? The Japanese and their Saki (not to mention, single malt scotch) ... nope, I don't see this pill becoming a big "hit" ... unless Big Brother shoves a funnel in our throats and forces the pills down our gullets ...
