There (is no) spoon

Hoping people remember the Matrix!

Feel for you Gailage. I am similar today. Mental has effected physical and half CAN'T get out of bed, the other half DON'T WANT to get out of bed. But I have had a stressful and full week, so I am trying to see the time out for what it is and not beat myself up over it.

decided upon

Very trying day here - building works over the road, building works next door - radios blasting, workmen shouting, trucks loading/unloading, now a kid screaming in the street and a dog continually barking. Woke after 4 hours sleep and that was that. Sigh....

Relaxed here. Fishinghat, I started on NABILONE last Thursday. Doing good, in my own way.

Slide down

I seem to be ok with it. But I'm glued to my chair, and walk like a 99 year old. It makes me lazy, forgetfull. As long as all gets done, I'm happy to have said yes to it.

So has your depression improved as a result of being on it?

Turn around

Yes it helps with relaxing the mind, but no joy! A tough one this one. Joy, how I wish to experiment this.

Gail,
I am well. My daughter came down with a severe case of strep throat. She may need to have her tonsils out.

scared witless

better they are taken out at a young age. Can prevent issues later in life for sure...

Got another festival right outside my flat again today. Too exhausted to go anywhere else. Two bands playing simultaneously causing a dissonant racket, kids screaming, blowing whistles all the time. Just what I needed after all the scaffolding works going on during the week. Really is torturous. I just want some quiet to relax and meditate! Is it too much to ask?!

There was another one today Gailage. I have properly lost the plot here... :S

perdu le fil - not sure if it has the same meaning in French, but it means that I have gone insane.

handling dynamite

Well, it is raining again and tomorrow too. The Mississippi River has overtopped the levees in New Orleans and the City is underwater again. The Corp of Engineers, who control lakes and streams in the USA says it may now be October before the water even approaches normal. Rivers and lakes are still 5 ft to 16 ft above normal in our area. On top of that we are running with highs around 93 F (36C) and humidity around 60 to 70%. It is like living in a sauna.

dynamite shrimp

an oriental dish.. apparently.

I really cannot fathom your weather situation Hat. I am really not one for humidity, so I would be awful over there. I sincerely hope that livelihoods are not in jeopardy. All I seem to recall from New Orleans are these untold weather scares.

shrimp curry

Many people have died during this flooding and it is not over yet. Something like 12 have died in New Orleans this week. We have had four die on one of our local lakes in the last 3 weeks. So many people just don't and won't listen to the warnings by the authorities.

Curry twiglets

The snack that was epic during its brief appearance in the supermarkets...

That is such a shame. There is no winning against nature, and people feel they are invincible against it. Just hope that you and the wife are safe during these times.
