Oh man, when does this anger get better? I'm on day 2 of no Cymbalta after weaning down. Thank God my kids weren't with me most of the day because the F-word was flying out of my mouth nonstop. At Walmart (by the way, NEVER go there during withdrawal, dumb idea) I seriously thought of somehow shooting out those annoying T.V's they have everywhere that play the same $#%^-ing thing over and over. Every crying baby/toddler pissed me off, and I was rehearsing what to say to the oblivious parent who was pleasantly shopping while the rest of us had to listen to Junior have a fit. I never came up with anything repeatable.

I go back to work Wednesday as a teacher, and I'm scared. Any suggestions??????????

Tuke,

How long were you on Cymbalta? Be patient with yourself. Your brain chemistry is readjusting and I hope that for you, you are already feeling a bit calmer. Hopefully, you will be able to get through your upcoming day of teaching. Please try to not stress about how you might feel that day, each day of Cymbalta withdrawal brings with it a different experience and we are all individual. Have faith and hope for the best. One minute at a time.

During my first week, after the first couple of days, I had a few days of peace and clarity and motivation - those days were the ones that made me sure that my decision to stop Cymbalta was the right one.

Hang in there and let us know how you are doing.

Yes, here I am a few days later. I was on Cymbalta for a year, more for impatience/anger than depression. I weaned down and I've been off totally almost a week. I do have moments that are almost manic. I'm so high when I hear a certain song or whatever. But then when I think about getting up on time for work or looking presentable, responsibilities, etc., I get down and feel like I CAN"T for awhile.

Still with the irritability. Tonight I realized my son did the usual-left a spoonful of yogurt in the big container and put it back in the fridge, and I wanted some. So I stormed out in my jammie pants and boots to get more. I just couldn't let it go.

This support really helps. How long does it take for the irritability and also dizziness to go away?
