Well the results of the barium enema came back perfectly clean. No sign of diverticulitis, colon cancer or other gastric condition. I guess the 10 weeks of gi cramps, stomach pain when eating were just a passing thing.
Now we are attacking the blood in the urine, back and flank pain, transient kidney failure, and swollen muscles that I have had since Christmas. Tests so far indicate rhabdomyolysis or myositis. More tests next week. Can't exercise as this increases the symptoms.
Good news is that I have lost 32 lbs so far and only 12 more pounds to go.

Well more good news. No muscle diseases like rhabdomyolysis or myositis. All blood tests and kidney tests came back perfectly normal except one. The ck was only 20, abnormally low. The dr said that normally they see that in only pregnant women!! I new there was something strange about me!! lol
My muscles still have spells of mild pain and swelling but it is tolerable so on goes life.

Well the pregnancy thing..., it looks like it will be a trip for me to the Jerry Springer Show. lol
The only testing left is an ultrasound in May to check on the 6 or 7 cysts that they found in my liver and kidneys. Not unusual for someone my age. The current thinking is they are benign.
So, 10 weeks of gi pain, pain when I eat, cramping and two bouts of kidney failure, swollen muscles and myalgias and they found nothing wrong. And now I am almost back to normal. what a deal. Like you say "receiving smiles from above".
Praise the Lord.
