Aurora killer James Holmes was ruled not to be insane, and he was given life in prison. A unanimous decision by the jury is required for the death penalty, and that didn't happen.

On July 20, 2012 James Eagan Holmes went on a shooting rampage in a movie theatre in Aurora, Colorado. When Mr Holmes's rage ended,12 people were dead and 70 others were wounded. How pathetic; how sad.

It was widely speculated that Holmes was on some form of psychiatric drug, but mainstream media is always reluctant to pursue the relationship between Pharmaceutical Drugs and the recent trend in mass-killings. Why? Because BigPharma is a huge sponsor. Instead, mainstream media focussed on the guns.

Alternative or sensational media, and the online antidepressant recovery forums, of course, predicted the link to pharmaceutical drugs.

This is from the LA Times: "District Judge Carlos A. Samour Jr. reversed previous rulings on public access and made public the arrest affidavit and 12 search warrants." It was revealed that James Holmes was ingesting at least 3 neurotoxins simultaneously and/or intermittently: Sertraline (SSRI Zoloft or generic); Clonozepam (benzodiazepine Klonopin); and alchohol.

From this shopping list of death-- Zoloft, Klonopin, alcohol, guns-- the mainstream media focused on the guns, which is like studying the rope to determine why a man hanged himself.

We know the who, what, where, and when of this incident, and now the why is becoming more clearly understood. I will never fully comprehend the pain and loss felt by the families and loved-ones affected by this horrendous event. My empathy and compassion are in flood just writing these words.

But in this universe of cause-and-effect-- and knowing what I know, and having ridden on this neurotoxic rollercoaster myself-- I feel compassion for James Holmes too.

I'm out of "likes" again but I agree, TM.

That was a wonderful post and absolutely no surprise regarding the 'lethal' combination of what the killer appeared to be on.  This is indeed sad, and horrific at the same time.  I feel badly for all.

How I wish that BigPharma  could be held responsible for not only this incident, but I am sure many others.
