Hi, I haven't posted her since August. I have been Cymbalta free for 10 months. I briefly went on Zoloft but chose to get off it. I thought I was almost done with WD but last month I got hit with the worst wave ever. I can't believe this is still going on. I cry everyday. I get a really bad attack in the morning between 9-10. It's like my nerves are out of control. I'm a shakey, jiterry, emotional mess. My Psych says this isn't WD anymore. It's so discouraging to hear that when all my diagnostic tests come back normal. I have Klonipin and Lorazepam but try not to use them everyday for fear of becoming addicted. I take .5 of the Lorazepam or sometimes 1mg. a day I find it works better than the Klonipin for me. Can someone give me advice on how long I can take it for? The month of Jan I used it 14 times and this month about the same. I'm really suffering right now

Hi Maria,
Sorry to hear of your symptoms, but just so you won't feel alone, I have been there.
I went cold turkey off of 60mg in Jan of 2014. I went to my younger son's wedding in Hawaii during Aug of that year and should have stayed home. I was just the way you are describing and anxiety was rampant...
In May of 2015 (that's almost 17 months off) that same son came to visit and went to my dr with me as he thought that I wasn't getting any better - this was PCP not psych. She put me on Bupropion and after about 6 weeks things were getting better. I am still on it and as one of our favorite members used to say "it is about quality of life, not about being able to say that you are med-free"
I started in therapy shortly after I lost my daughter (June 2009) and continue once a month - I am seeing a psychologist not a psych
I wish you the best and hope that I have been able to help - at least a little
Please keep us posted - we are here for you!

The manufacturers recommend that usage not exceed 4 months. It has also been shown that as little as 4 weeks can create dependence.
A wise decision to minimize your usage. You might consider using hydroxyzine or clonidine instead. They are not addictive and do not have withdrawal.

I can see how you are suffering. After 10 months, I believe that you might think of starting a new ad.
You cannot go on this way. Nothing wrong going back on a different ad. Many of us did. After seven months and more of hell, I did. My time line was seven months.
I am a fan of benadryl when the anxiety gets unbearable. Better than any benzo.
Hope you get better, keep posting.
