Well, here I am going on 1 week of no Sinbalta. For the most part I have to say that it's been slightly better, but it's nowhere near over. There was a slight fall back last night where I opted to stay up a bit longer vs going on to bed. This didn't bode well for my ever supportive husband or myself. It's been a bad for me and I know it's been even worse for him because of what he does every day and being tired doesn't help that.

Here are symptoms I have at the time:

* Aches and pains - The knees are the absolute worst. I never thought I could hurt so much.

* Brain Zaps - They are constant in and out all day. But they are the worst at night when I lay down and try to go to sleep.

* Weight - I have got to motivate myself and get started or things will just get worse. My husband has tried helping me by playing the tough love card like I asked him to, but I just don't seem to care. I mean I care but I don't care if that makes sense to anyone at all.

* Anxiety and frustration - So much to the point where I have to breath or clench my fists in order to calm myself down before I even speak. This hurts my husband and beautiful children, even thought the children don't express it I can see how much it hurts them in their young innocent eyes. Mommy yells at the smallest things and they don't know when they can or cannot say something. Like my husband has said, there should be no eggshells to be walked upon in the house, I can't let this go on.

Thanks for the venting forum and I bid you all a pleasant night.

Blessed Be,

Raven

I need help and I know I will feel better if I can offer help to others

Hi Raven

The best thing for the aches and pains is to get out and exercise as much as you can. Go for a walk and this will help with the temper problems as well.

Brain Zaps are always worse later in the day. My trick was taking Omega-3 1000mg 3 or 4 times a day usually with a meal. Seriously it does help and also helps the joints.

Anxiety and frustration or as I referred to it when I was going through it 'Irritability and Rage' which is what it became around 2 weeks off; a product recommended by another member called L-theanine (suntheanine must be the ingredient it says on the bottle). It can be found at most health food stores or ordered online. Since you have a lot on your plate with children try 200mg first thing in the morning with a full glass of water on an empty stomach and another 100-200mg around 3 or 4 in the afternoon again with the full glass of water. It helps with the headaches that are sure to show up sooner or later.

Another thing with all of this is to stay well hydrated. Drink lots of water and stay away from sodas or too much caffeine and alcohol is not good at this point either.

These are just little things that helped me and others so hope it helps you too.

Take care of you

Nancy

Thanks Nancy!

You know my husband tells me the same thing about the aches and pains. I know I need to get up and exercise more but it just hurts so much. I know that I have to start getting up and doing something though. This morning is so bad that I feel like I did exercise hard last night but I didn't. It hurts to even walk. My best friend Rena (may she rest in peace) had Fibromyalgia and Lupus and you never would have known it to look at her. She was so full of energy, then we lost her to a brain aneurysm in 2011 2 days before Christmas. She was one of the bravest women I have ever known.

I will look up the medications you suggested and see about possible trying them if it looks like they will work for me.

I do drink lots of water here lately. I also crave and eat ice like it's going out to style.

Thanks for the advice.

Blessed Be,

Raven
