its been tough. in less than a week a nationally known up and coming performer was gunned down at a local theater, a wanna be terrorist murders 49 people, injures 53 and devastates an entire community and today an alligator drags a toddler from the shores of disney's 7 seas lagoon. they just pulled his lifeless body from the water a few hours ago

i don't know anyone affected directly, but i do have a colleague who lost 2 dear friends at pulse nightclub. while my house is a 30 minute drive, my office is just a few miles away from where all hell broke loose saturday night.

all of these events have drawn international attention and are shaping the way the world views my home. just like the way the world views where i went to college. i am a graduate of va tech.

i know the pain i feel can't even begin to compare with what the survivors and loved ones of the victims must feel, but my heart hurts.

I need help and I know I will feel better if I can offer help to others

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Such senseless tragedies are often so hard to deal with.

Be kind to yourself and allow the time to grieve for the stains on your city but know that through pain comes strength and in the coming days more stories of courage will appear and the healing will begin.

Take care of you because I care

Nancy

Oh Brz, I'm so sorry ... too much in too short a time, too close to home ... I echo LadyN ... take care of yourself, please ... do not let the manifest evil claim you as a victim also ... words fail me utterly ... :(
