It has come to my attention that a product called Happy Camper has become very popular in my area for use against anxiety and depression. This product is a combination of a number of herbal compounds. There has been 3 deaths already attributed to this product and a number of class action suits under way. Here is the ingredients....

Kava Kava root
Eleuthero root
Gotu Cola
Kola Nut extract with caffeine
Shisandra Fruit
Wood Betony
English lavender
Four of these ingredients are listed as liver toxins with Kava kava carrying an FDA warning. Two ingredients claim to increase blood pressure and 3 claim to lower blood pressure. Concomitantly some claim to treat depression while others are for depression. The manufacturer claims that these conflicting effects makes the product excellent as a mood stabilizer.
