I have slowly (over 4 mos) tapered from 30mg to 10mg. I've been holding at 10mg for about 2 weeks. For about 10days I've had a weird new symptom. The inside of my forearms feel like they have a bad sunburn and especially if anything touches my skin. There is absolutely nothing visible on my skin. I have not changed my diet, supplements, medication.. Could this be a cymbalta withdrawal thing?

I’ve seen itching as a withdrawal symptom.. maybe this is related? Keep a close eye on it... have you tried an anti histamine?

Cymbalta withdrawal causes a great amount of various peripheral neuropathies. ( exterior nerves that act up). This causes itching, burning, pain to the touch, etc. An antihistamine may help like DG said. But the good news is it will eventually fade. Be sure the antihistamine is compatible with any medications you are taking. Of course I can't be sure this is the cause on your case but wouldn't be surprised.

Also, be warned, the last 5 mg is usually the worse, I would recommend dropping only 1 bead every few days when you get down to that level.

Thank you I will try that. My body does seem to be adjusting to the 10mg level. I'm sleeping much better and other withdrawal symptoms have greatly diminished ..especially if I get exercise. I'm very nervous about attempting the last 10mg. I have 60 beads to go. So 1 bead would be more tHan 1% per day if I did 1 per day. I will try to go slower than that, as you suggested, when I restart my drop. Thank you again for your help!
