I'm down to taking beads --roughly 1/2 of 20 mg capsule daily.  I cant see to count them thoroughly, but,...every time I feel like I'm doing ok, semi stable, I realize there's more symptoms...the range of this withdrawal is totally incredible.  Does or is anyone tracking how many patients (PEOPLE) suicide from this?  The despair is nearly overwhelming isnt it?  I'm going through diarrhea, dry eyes, anxiety, palpitations, and severe loss io interest in, anything. Kids. Pets. Garden.  On the positive side, I can feel cold for the first time in YEARS, and I have lost weight, also for first time.  Reacquainting self with Rational Emotive Therapy.  Like everyone else I want this OVER NOW.  Who or what is left once we DO survive Cymbalta?  I'm pretty sure there arent any answers, and just time and patience to get through this, but I wanted to vent a moment. thanks for being here.

Welcome Margappy.

I understand the desire to rush but the more you rush the worse the withdrawal. Remember that once you are off the Cymbalta it can take 6 to 8 months for all the withdrawal symptoms to fade.

Like you said " just time and patience to get through this"

Hang in there.

"I'm down to taking beads --roughly 1/2 of 20 mg capsule daily".

Something jumped out at me-- are you actually 'taking' the beads straight into your mouth, or are you putting them back into the capsule and swallowing *it*?

(Just because my psych told me it was very bad to do the former.)

Yes, the remaining beads are taken in the capsule.

The capsule delays the release of the beads into the digestive tract. This way the Cymbalta is not exposed tom as much acid.

https://dailymed.nlm...f2-c185fbad64ba
"In extremely acidic conditions, CYMBALTA, unprotected by the enteric coating, may undergo hydrolysis to form naphthol. Caution is advised in using CYMBALTA in patients with conditions that may slow gastric emptying (e.g., some diabetics). "
