Sorry me again. A final question for today - I promise! IUN - I was reading through some other posts and read that you took Ashwaganda KS-66. Did it help with anxiety? If so, I may get myself some. Thanks again

Well done for getting all that done today - that is a huge achievement. Try your best to hold on to that during your breathing so you know that you can ride the storm. And never worry about asking more questions!! It keeps me occupied :D

Yes, ashwagandha's best form is KSM-66. Although most is standardised (each part has the same potency), KSM-66 uses the best part of the root which is the strongest and around 3-4 times the strength of standardised ash. So definately go with the KSM-66.

It did indeed help me, but I got a tolerance to it quite quickly which was upsetting. I was having 3 x 500mg a day, but then this quickly became 3 x 1000mg a day. It lasted for around a month before it pooped out at that dose, but then again, a break of a few days is recommended when taking it, and most people do not tolerate that quickly to it, so it is for sure worth a try. You can go safely upto around 2000mg at a time, but that is quite a high dose and from there on it just gets expensive. This is when I switched to Kratom as I really don't like taking valium.

Thanks so much IUN.

Feeling even worse today and I have stayed with 29 beads for nearly a week now. My arms and hands really ache, I feel like I have something stuck behind my breastbone and feel agitated and shaky. Still have shortness of breath too😢.

What is going on? Should I drop again? I don't really want to go up.

Thanks so much.

Stay where you are. This happens from time to time with people suffering withdrawal. They hit this "wall" and have to stay put for a while until their system balances out. For the bead count, this is about right as you are down to the last few milligrams which is when it all kicks in.

It is a question of time and patience... as hard as it is to hear!

Thanks so much IUN. I have ordered some Ashwaganda KSM-66, so hopefully that will support some of these symptoms. I am definitely sitting with it today and remembering what you said😁

It is really awful today. I have been on edge all day and feel as if I have been hit by a 10 tonne truck😪. I was in the car with my husband earlier and we got stuck in traffic and he was getting really annoyed. It really wound me up too and I burst into tears when I got in and couldn't stop crying. It's like my body can't cope with any sort of stress at the moment. Is this normal in withdrawal and would the Ashwaganda help with this?

I'm sorry to keep posting but I'm getting really worried that this is never going to end! Thanks.

It will help some but only a little. At this point any help is a good thing.  It will go away. Just takes time.

Thanks FH. I'm just worried it is going to be like this all the time I am weaning off, which is going to be weeks😢. I just about held it together at work today. I work full time and have already had 3 months off earlier in the year as the doctor has tried me in 4 different antidepressants for my menopause symptoms, after my HRT was discontinued. None of the ADs worked and now I'm in a mess trying to get off Duloxetine. Sorry to vent!

Is this likely to last all the way through weaning off or does it come in waves? Thanks very much.

A decreased tolerance for stress is one of the things mentioned when coming off Cymbalta, which is why we always state to make sure you do all you can to steer yourself free of anything that has the potential to give you stress. If you are still working, then again, you are doing better than most!

Symptoms will come and go as they brain sees fit. It all depends on how it is rearranging itself and no-one can tell us that. Your symptoms are likely to move on from their present state the less attention you give it - so much easier said than done I know, but you are in a place where you need to understand this,,,

Ok thanks IUN. I suppose it's like how long is a piece of string?!!🙄. Have ordered the 15% CBD oil (I previously used 10%) and the Ashwaganda KSM-66 so am strengthening my armoury😁.

Hope you have had a better day today

You got it... a piece of string it is.

Let us know how you get on with the CBD and KSM. I have just ordered some organic valerian powder to make into capsules. I want to see if I can replicate a anti-anxiety med with it. Much cheaper and better for you than a benzo. I have my Kratom, but I don't take it during the day, so if I have an issue, I reach for a Valium and I want an alternative.

Do you take the Kratom as tea? I have so many Diazepam in the cupboard but I have vowed to never take them again! I was on a very low dose (1 or 2mg a day) but stopped them a few months ago. Like you I would rather try the herbal alternatives.

Will let you know how it goes with the CBD and KSM

I have Kratom in juice - it is much more pleasant. It works very well as an alternative to valium and is so much safer. Nothing of a withdrawal and not as addictive.

My valerian should be here on Saturday so will see how that goes and also report back...

Thanks. Where do you get it from? I assume you can only take it at night as it makes you sleepy?

I have got some from eBay - seemed like a reputable seller. Higher doses will make you sleepy, but lower doses should be ok during the day - similar to valium in that respect...

Thanks. I will try the Ashwaganda first and see how it goes. Feeling really uptight again today😢. What is going on? Will I be stuck on 29 beads forever?! It's like my body can't handle anything at the moment

Makes two of us. I've woken up in a right state. One of those feelings that life is too much, but there is no escape. Could be a tough day ahead...

Oh no IUN. I hope your day goes OK. Deep breaths! I've just been to Mindfulness in my lunchbreak at work, which helped calm things down a bit

Polly, I hate to say this but it may take 2 or 3  weeks to settle down enough. Some people take even longer. This is not a race, it is a marathon of patience.

Poor Polly.... I remember these days well. Our systems are surprisingly resilient you know. I still have no idea how I went through mine. The forum was a Godsend at the time. But then you see some members like LDN who had his withdrawal along with Lymes disease and ME. I can't even begin to imagine. Either way, this by no means undermines what you are going through. Things do get better and make us stronger.

For example, I just wanted to stick two fingers up to whatever my head was doing today, so after my first client, I went and did a brake overhaul on my Audi!! Something that I had been waiting weeks to do. Turned out fine. I was just sick of being a slave to my physical condition. If it starts all over again tomorrow, I will just need to find the wear with all to do it again. It is never easy, but if we keep on, the impact it has on us starts to diminish and you WILL get better. Focus on that rather than there being a few more days of it. That;s the party line... not how long, but that you WILL get better.

Hang in there sunflower...
