Credit to our lovely Polly for finding this in today's press;
REALLY worth a read. Tells you a lot about how little the NHS, GP's and so-called professionals know about anti depressants. Not sure how much of an impact this is going to have, but I am hoping that it will be the start of a chain of events that will get people to sit up and realise the harm that these drugs are doing.
Few quick facts from the article;
► Almost 1 million UK patients have been on antidepressants for 3+ years
► 1 in 7 people in the UK have picked up a prescription for an anti depressant in the last year (excluding minors)
► According to NICE/NHS findings and guidelines, withdrawal is "mild, self-limiting and last a little over a week"
► GPs in the UK admit to re-prescribing antidepressants as a result of withdrawal believing it to be a return of symptoms
This is ridiculous my friends and SERIOUS.
God help us...
