The symptoms you mention are all classic. You really need to deal with this from a point of strength. The paranoia, fear and clouded thinking are all from the Cymbalta absence from the brain. No hurry. It is better to take your time and be successful then to continue to suffer and fail. This is not a race.
Need Help With Cymbalta

I really feel for you Mary - and exactly where I was a year ago. It really does feel like it has taken over your life. You need to understand that your brain has gone through so much recently and it really doesn't know its left from its right. The last thing you want to do is start messing with moving doses up and down, down and then up as this will only make things worse.
Take a step back and thing logically. You were happy and fine when you were no the cymbalta dose - you can be there again. We can get you back to this point, but as Hat says, it needs to be done from a position of strength, which isn't easy, but it WILL happen.
Don't worry about what to do after that. One step at a time. I am faced with coming off Celexa at the moment and I am so scared and all I want to do is stay where I am and continue to feel better! I really really do understand you, and we are all here for each other. It's what we do - as you say, other people simply do not understand, and it is the unlikeliest of people who do... just like if you saw the massive hulk of a shadow of Hat and myself walking towards you, you'd never know what we'd have been through!!

My suggestion is to initially go back up 5mg and hold there for a couple of weeks and see what happens. Because the previous tapers were all headed for disaster from the get go, you need to start another taper from a point of strength and I feel that can only be achieved by getting closer to where you were before....
