Thanks FH. Should I be worried about it or is it psychosomatic? My chest is aching and I keep worrying it's my lungs, but I've had chest x-rays recently and they have been clear. It's probably the chest wall giving me the sensation as I hold myself so tense. I need to try and relax!🙄. Lol.

I feel uneasy taking another tablet, which I suppose is understandable after all the problems of Duloxetine!

It is not psychosomatic it is just due to anxiety changing the acidity of your respiratory tract (respiratory acidosis). As the anxiety decreases the breathing will become deeper and the CO2 will be ventilated out more efficiently and the acidity will shift back to normal. Assuming nothing else is going on it should pass.

Thanks FH, that's encouraging to hear. I'm so impatient 🙄 and just want to feel well again. My daughter is getting married at the end of June so I really hope I'm better by then🤞

You have done some improvement over the last few months so don't give up hope. It will get better.

Thanks for the update Pol. I know the 4 months seems a long time, but as Hat said, there have been improvements. They start out as mere glimmers but build up from there. I still had adrenal issues 4 months after my last dose... it is all perfectly plausible, but just keep going with the charts and notice those small, but significant improvements as you go...

Just like I have said to gailage in our "8 weeks" journal area, China has it covered now, so if everyone else simply follows suit, this could be over in a few weeks. It is the ignorance of the Western world. Eastern countries are developed to fall into line. I don't like to say this online, but I have a friend who currently has a cough and she told me in a text that she thinks the world has gone mad, and regardless of what Borris has said, she is still going out.

I have not replied because it would be quite a nasty reply from me.

This is our problem in the UK. People in China fall into line. People in Italy are very strong willed and needed to get the police involved to enforce the lockdown. That is the difference and what is worrying.

I totally agree with everything you have said IUN. I have had shortness of breath for months now as you know, but if I develop a cough or fever, I would certainly self isolate. People need to start taking responsibility for their own actions.

I bet your friend with te cough is still panic buying though!🙄. Best you don't reply I think😏. I hope you and your wife stay safe and well IUN.

Hi. A quick update from me. Have been on 10mg of Amitriptyline for 3 weeks now and it is working really well for the really bad nerve pain I had in my stomach - and it's also very calming😁.

Unfortunately, the reflux pain I was getting behind my breastbone has come back so I think I will need to take a PPI for a few weeks to heal the soreness. FH and IUN I'd appreciate some advice please- which would be best to take- Lansoprazole or Esomeprazole? I have supplies of both.

Thanks. Hope everyone is staying well.

My first choice would be Lansoprazole.

Hope you are keeping well.

Lans gets my vote too as your system has had more recent experience with this and will kick in sooner.. or should.

Thanks Gailage. I know it will end, but it is the not knowing, the very lack of control. I can't stand it.

If you are to be locked in a box and given a time, it is so much easier than if you are not given a time.

Hi Everyone

Hope you are all doing well. These really are nightmare times we are living through. Today I have a sore throat and have developed a dry cough😫.I have been struggling to get air in for a while but my airway feels really dry. I have been randomly sweating as well so fear I have the symptoms of Coronavirus. I am trying to remain calm and hoping that it passes in a few days. I have been self isolating for 2 days anyway as I have been working from home. I will continue to do so and keep you posted.

Take care everyone and stay safe.

Polly

Hey Pol....

Is the sweating just sweating or is it a fever? 90%+ of those that have corona have the fever, so unless you have been burning up and then chills etc, I would say you are relatively safe. Don't overlook the element that anxiety plays in all this.

Please keep in touch here through this all. The more we can keep contact going whilst in isolation the better.

IUN
