Hey! This may be a bit weird, but I wanted to offer in case it could be of help to anyone. I just started my taper and am nervous and excited to get going.

I'm a big fan of spreadsheets and other simple ways to keep track of data. I have ADHD and if I don't automate a lot of my life I get overwhelmed!

So I created a Google Form (basically like a survey) and linked it to a Google Sheet (basically excel). Accessing both of these is free, you just have to have a Google account (like gmail, or you can create one from scratch).

I wanted to provide a link to y'all to see if you think it may be useful.  If you fill out the Form daily it will automatically put your replies into a Google Sheet, essentially creating a log of your taper, side effects, other meds, concerns etc. I could provide a tutorial on how to use them, or link to Google's instructions and videos. Anybody who wants to use it would "save a copy" of both the form and the sheet to their own account and change the questions on the form to fit their needs.

If you want to try out the form and see the answers it auto-populates into the excel sheet, just click on the form and click on the eye in the upper right corner. You can then answer the questions. If you then go back and click on the google sheet (spreadsheet) you can see your answers filled in along with the date and time attached. 🙂

Just an idea! Thanks everyone for being so helpful.

An excellent idea and many on the site develop there own tracking system. This would allow them to use a premade form for their tracking. Thank you.

I used Google Forms during my withdrawal crisis to try to keep a daily log to refer back to, look for any patterns in improvements, etc.

You can even have the data plotted on a graph in sheets so you can look at the ups and downs in a visual way and look at averages to see if there's an overall trend of improvement since the changes happen so slowly.

I loved it and only recently stopped because I felt like it wasn't effective anymore and I kept forgetting to do it anyway.

I think this is a wonderful way to keep track of your taper!

Many thanks for the idea. I too used (and still use) a couple of excel sheets for tracking.

The only issue I had was that I became too engrossed by it with tracking my mood. I got obsessed with thinking about how good or bad I was doing every hour on the hour and marking it on the sheet. It wasn't until my therapist told me to stop as it was not doing me any good as I was trying to recover - and then of course I realised I was hooked on it and it took a lot of effort to break free from it!!
