First of all, I feel the need to ask: why do you think you're depression free? Just be mindful that it could be that the Cymbalta is, in your case, working.
I'm going off because I've been very depressed on it, very tired and very anxious and frankly I don't see the point! In addition, I have come to really understand how my thoughts contribute to my depression and have put in place some mindfulness practices that have been really helping. Basically, I've come to realise that the initial depression that started me on medication was actually very different than the deathly experience I've had on medications and have concluded that I'm medicated, not depressed. It's a risk, but so far, it's paying off. I haven't felt this good -- this energised, this empowered, this clear, this happy in years. And I"m not even all the way off yet. So that's my story.
Hello, I'm yet another person about to start tapering off of Cymbalta. I've heard somewhere that it might be possible to get Cymbalta in a liquid form. I think that would be much easier to manage than counting the beads.
But if it doesn't exist, I still want to know where I can get some empty gel capsules to put the beads in.
Also, if you wouldn't mind, could you share why you are deciding to get off Cymbalta? I got on it for depression about 2 years ago and am reasonably sure I am depression free (clinical anyway). I really haven't had any major side effects from Cymbalta, I'm just concerned about the possible long term effects and I don't want to be spending $120/month on meds I don't need.
