I have been taking Cymbalta for over 2 weeks for fibromyalgia. I also take 20 mg of prozac for depression. ( I have been weening off prozac by taking every other day).Since I started taking 30 mg of Cymbalta a day I have had no pain or discomfort due to fibromyalgia, but I have been severely constipated, irritable, tired, dizzy, foggy thoughts, unable to focus. I feel I need to go off the drug as I can. I feel I am not functioning well on it. What is the best way to go off it? Should I stop cold turkey as I have only been on for approx. 2 weeks? What do you suggest?
Thank you for taking the time to help me with this,
Dali

Well usually it is not a good idea to go off 2 meds at once. I would stay on the Prozac and concentrate on getting off Cymbalta. Being on Cymbalta only 2 weeks is a good thing. It should probably be easier to get off of it than for some folks like me who were on it for years. I suggest you look around this site and devise your own plan based on your own needs. You could use the bead counting 1mg less per day method. Skipping days of Cymbalta usually brings on symptoms. Here is much discussion about how to do it: https://www.cymbalta...f-off-cymbalta/
Also, if possible, you should work with your dr on withdrawal and have his/her supervision when you are doing more than one med. Why aren't you working with your dr?
