I was weaning off of this damn stuff only to become so sick I thought I was dying. Finally went to dr an all blood work came back fine. He put me back on 60 mg of cymbalta an I am feeling much better. Not great yet but on my way. I am very sad that I. Will have to take this for the rest of my life. The weight gain I gain when on this is horrific. But my husband says he'd rather have me fat than dead. I hope all of you that can get off of cymbalta safely do so. But take note of your over all health after you come down or off. I guess if you really need help with medication you should listen to your body. Good luck to all of you.

Hi Mam..
I, too, failed off Cymbalta.
I tried so hard.... I am a mom of 3 who is the primary financial provider of the house..
Withdrawing from this horrible drug has sent me to the ER twice, many specialists, has made me almost lose my job, family and my life...
So I am titrating slowly back.... Was on 60 mg/day when I starting weaning (after taking it for 5 years). I wasn't "perfect" on it but I definately wasn't at the end of my rope (like I have been off).
I am very angry that this drug has me "hooked" but I don't know what else to do.
I wish I could do it, but I honestly think if I kept trying, I would probably end up taking my life (due to the symptoms, the way the symptoms hurt my family, etc)..
Good luck to you...

I so know the feeling. I really felt like I was dying with no reason. After investigating I think I was just having withdrawl symptems. I 2 am very angry that this medicine is so additicting. But I guess I will stay on it because I have a life 2 live an can't b sick all the time. Good luck 2 u as well.
