I started taking 60mg of Cymbalta about a year and a half ago for fybromyalgia. During that time I gained over 30 pounds, but was afraid to stop the Cymbalta because it really did help my fybro. About 6 months ago I told my doctor that I wanted to start lowering my dosage because I'd rather deal with the fybro than the weight gain,so I went from 60mg to 30mg for a few months, then from 30mg to 20mg. I exercise regularly and have a pretty good diet and have not been able to lose 1 stinking pound! 3 days ago I tried to stop taking the 20mg all together. The first day I felt fine, the 2nd day I had a horrible headache, and day 3 (today) I had a headache, brain zaps, nausea and dizziness so I went ahead and took a pill. Of course an hour later I felt better. I know that 20mg is the lowest dosage that it comes in, and I've read about skipping a day, then 2 days etc, and bead counting. I just want to stop taking Cymbalta! What way has worked the best?
