Hello, I am new here and am hoping one of you has switched from Cymbalta to Paxil and can enlighten me for what I'm in for.

Are the withdrawals from Cymablta awful? The doc said no, but after reading a lot online I have feeling he doesn't know what he's talking about.

I was told to go from 60mg to 40mg of the Cymbalta and add 5mg of Paxil (to start with) for 2 weeks and then we (the doc and I) would talk about what is next.

How long did/does it take to get off the Cymbalta?

I thank you ALL for being here and for finding this sight. And am hoping someone can enlighten me as to what I'm in for.

P.S. I put on 40 pounds when I started taking Cymbalta... hope that goes away, too!
