I have been on Cymbalta for almost a year. I started at 30mg and increased to 90mg, which I'm on now. Because Cymbalta stopped helping with the pain I was having, my doctor and I decided to discontinue the Cymbalta. I knew that I needed to slowly decrease and I did, but no one ever told me I would have the withdrawl I experienced. It was so bad, I had to call my sister to come sit with me (I am almost 40 years old.) My brain was zapping so much I thought I was having seizures. My heart felt as if it were skipping beats and my anxiety was through the roof. Honestly, I thought I was going to die that night. I even said some goodbyes. The only recent change I had made was decreasing my Cymbalta, so once I made that correlation, I immediately took 90 mg!! I had no idea coming off Cymbalta would cause all of this until I found this website the following day. I am at the point that I've decided that I will never discontinue Cymbalta again and have resigned myself to be on it for the rest of my life. Now, with that said, I'm finding that some of you have been successful getting off of this drug and I may try again, but not any time soon!! Does anyone else feel this way??
Thank you all for your support here. It's nice to know I'm not crazy!!
