Here is my gripe. When it comes to putting you on the meds, they will hand out free pills, but when it comes to getting off, the manu cannot even create a withdrawal pack. I've read through some posting regarding counting the super-tiny balls and removing two at a time, etc. Shouldn't the drug company do this for us? They created the problem, what kind of support do they give people who have decided to get off the medication - Nothing. It would seem to me that good patient care goes beyond just getting people hooked. I have been on Cymbalta for two years and on other anti-depressants before that. My complaints about being on Cymbalta are: I have recently found myself in manic type episodes. I am not bipolar- never have been, but blame this on the medication. As a side note, most bipolar people are not cognizantof what they are doing. It's sort of an out-of-body experience. If you are aware of your actions, chances are there is another cause of the issue. I have known several bipolar people and it took someone else bringing it to their attention. Secondly, I lack any emotion aside from the highs and lows. I don't want to be touched. I don't want to pet the dog. I cringe when my son hugs me. I've never been this way before. However, since I work three jobs to care for my family, I don't have the option of staying in bed or not functioning to my full potential. SO, what do I do? Yesterday I had to call in sick because I couldn't drive - well, I could have, it just would not have worked out well for anyone trying to navigate in the other four lanes. If Cymbalta reps are reading this...could you please create a withdrawal pack, support system, something? Lastly, has anyone talked to a lawyer about a class action lawsuit? I am curious about what, if any, response you received. THanks!

Hi ltk

Welcome to the forum. What a great idea a Withdrawal Pack. I doubt if EliLilly would do it but they should. It makes you feel like some kind of desparate lunatic opening those caps and counting out the little balls. Personally, I didn't have the patience or the dexterity to count them. I just poured them in a cup licked my finger, stuck it in the tiny balls and hoped I got enough to take the edge off my misery to get me through the day. I PRAISE GOD that I now am on day 6 w/o cymbalta. So far today, I don't feel nearly as bad as I did yesterday. I do feel totaly wiped out with some waves of nausea and the good old brain zaps and dizziness.I still hurt all over but the pain is not as intense as yesterday. I'm praying for a miracle to stop all of this pain as well as all the rest of this mess. Hopefully I'm at that turning point other people have mentioned.

Any way, keep reading and writing. This site will help you through it along with the GRACE OF GOD. May God bless you and keep you safe.

Thanks for the support! Good luck. What a small world - I'm from the Missouri area too.
