OK I don't know if this is right, but can I be experiencing the same side effects that I felt when I first started the drug? It seems like I had the "brain zaps" and feeling like my whole body was getting shock treatments when I first started Cymbalta about six months ago.... I recently decided to try to wean off on my own, but about a month into gradually dosing down, I started getting severe muscle spasms, "zaps," horrible feelings of hopelessness and despair, but mostly these zings and twitches and shocks that I recall from when I first started taking the drug. So the side effects seem to be both a product of taking the drug and not taking the drug. You're damned if you do, damned if you don't. Right?
