Sooooo, I didn't gain much weight while on Cymbalta. Have had a tough time LOSING while on it, but holding steady. Now that I'm a month into reducing 25% (from 40mg to 30mg/day), I'm gaining weight! What the...? Isn't that backwards?
Anyone else noticing this? Grrrrrrrr.

Jen
While you've just started reducing the dosage and there is some distance yet to travel, the senses that have been attenuated by the drug start to come back. You'll find you can taste more, smell more, and feel more. It's not surprising that your appetite would increase.

Jen, the weight thing takes time, and is different for each of us ... Don't stress about it now. I lost weight, but you're doing the opposite, which, as TFL noted, I think CymSik did ... whacky, huh?
Just let yourself enjoy food now, it's amazing to me that anyone can have an appetite during it! Just try to stay away from sugar and caffeine, and chocolate (unless it's the darkest, 90% cocoa), and I guess also salt ...
Enjoy having your taste buds functioning again!
