dr Zhivago

Good luck with that one.

Hello all. WOW!! It is suppose to ran again tonight. Good grief, Lake is up 16 feet and the rivers the same.

A lot of idiots try to drive through that type of flooding. One guy tried to drive his passenger through 8' of flowing water. What an idiot. He was able to get to shore though and is OK.

Zhivago meaning

Evidently means "life" in Russian.

What is the crack with your weather Hat? It was 29 degrees before and now you are expecting Noah to go passed any moment??

meaning lost

It will nearly be a record rainfall for us for the month of May before it is over. We are at 15" of rain and expecting more tonight and Sunday, and Tues, Wed, Thur and Fri. Flooding is better than tornados though. Tornados just don't have a sense of humor. lol

memory card

The flooding covers an area the size of 2/3 of Europe. We have lost about 1/2 of our corn, soybeans, wheat, etc. It will be next year before they can plant again. They are saying around 1 to 2 months for the big rivers to drop and about 6 months to return the lakes to the normal levels. Of course that is if we don't get any more rain. lol

Sharp cookie

Vegetables prices are going up like crazy, a celery is $5.00 today. They haven't even had time to plant seeds here, as I can see. Poor me, will settle for cookies!

dough ball (fishing bait) :)

One of the small towns in Arkansas had and old WWII submarine on display out side their courthouse. . The water level is high enough so that the submarine is trying to float away. Can you imagine what it would look like to see an old sub floating down the river.

I need to ask for your prayers please. I have consistent dizziness/spinning sensation, nausea and pain/pressure all over the head. I am very scared as to why this is happening now. Thank you.

reunited family

Hello all.

All is well here.

They said on the news yesterday that there has been 219 tornados in the last 11 days with at least one tornado on the ground at all times. More storms coming.

Prayer for you and all IUN.

Have you checked your eyes lately. Are they PERL?

there now

Thank you guys. A little better. Been checked out - blood pressure showed 110/40 first time round, which would have explained a lot, I asked for two further readings, which came out 112/84 and 110/80, so as it was a manual reading (not a machine), I can only assume human error. I assume the systolic would have been lower in line with the other readings if it were accurate.

Is that a fair assumption, Hat?

here are

That is a fair opinion IUN. I find those bps interesting. Usually systolic is up around 120 to 140 during severe withdrawal. Even during periods of high stress I would expect higher numbers than that. Overall those are good numbers though.

are you....

That was exactly what I was thinking Hat. A good call getting my own monitor - will be there Thursday so I can at least get some data to consider. The numbers are indeed good, but quite low considering the stress element as you say. Other times when I have been checked under the same circumstances, I have been between 130-140 systolic.

Thank you Raven... bit better, but very apprehensive.

Good Scrat, can we put that on the blood pressure? Or hypoglycemia?

are they?

Would be hypo, yes. But I often check this be standing up from a laying down position. If it were that bad, I would get really dizzy or see fireflies every time, but I don't - so I am quite positive that the first reading the medic did was incorrect. But I am following Hat's advice and ordered my own monitor. I don't like to rely on others for basics....
