although the serum duloxetine level was significantly decreased. However, the antidepressant-like effects of a duloxetine reagent were significantly attenuated by the co-administration of magnesium oxide. These results suggest that duloxetine and magnesium oxide directly interact and that such interactions affect the absorption and antidepressant-like effects of duloxetine.

Yes - and magnesium oxide is in EVERYTHING as it is the cheapest. It is not readily absorbed, but is used in many multi vits and as fillers for a number of other supplements, so watchful on eye on what you are buying.
Exactly like I found with my super-absorbant iron... One can never be too careful when mixing any two of anything!!

For now I would consider the use of magnesium during withdrawal suspect.

I guess that when a new member arrives, this should be the first asked question.
How many thousands don't know that. Do you think that goes for every antidepressants?
And in what food do we find magnesium? Thank you!

Absolutely. There are so many of these "super" absorbant types out there which should absolutely not be taken with a majority of medication. At least not at the same time. I anticipate that because of metabolisms and so forth that such issues can be subjective to a degree as well. It is research that doesn't hold much in the way of recognition and funding I guess - so like everything else, it is a case of waiting for the unsuspecting public to suffer first!!
