Well done, petal.

Hang in there and it will start to abate. Main thing is that it has not got worse despite the continued drop.

Hi.

I'd appreciate some advice please. I have been doing some reading on line and it was suggested that L-Tyrosine can help with the shortness of breath during withdrawal.

Has anyone heard this and do you think it would be OK to take it?

Thanks.

Polly

L-tyrosine is the proverbial can of worms. It can increase dopamine, adrenaline, noradrenaline and will lessen serotonin and melatonin production. It is considered a stimulant. A couple members have found it helpful with lightheadedness. As far as respiration is concerned I am not aware of anything but will do a quick scan of the medical journals and get right back to you.

Nothing in the medical literature on its effects on respiration. Other than that there isn't anything I can add. Sorry

Agree with Hat here - too much to take into consideration with tyrosine. I think all that currently exists in your arsenal is the best you are going to have during this final push...

Hi Polly!! Hang in there!!! I'm having a flare up of symptoms today but it will pass eventually. I think may be related to my menstrual cycle. Looking at journaling it out.

Thanks Hrk. Am down to 13 beads and today has been a good day😁. Am going to keep dropping a bead a day until I get down between 5 and 10 beads and then I'll drop every other day.

Hope your symptoms settle down soon.

Hi. I'd like some advice please. I have found a cough medicine in the UK with Diphenhydramine in but it's also got Levomenthol in. Is it OK to take that weaning off Duloxetine?
A quick update - I am down to 12 beads. My stomach issues are a lot better but I've still got chest tightness and it's hard to take a deep breath. I'm hoping the cough medicine will help.

Thanks.

Levomenthol, or better known as menthol, is an opioid receptor agonist which simply means it helps stop pain. This is part of its benefit for sore throats. It should have no effect on your Cymbalta and may even have a slight calming effect. It also relaxes smooth muscles like in the stomach and GI tract.
