Hi everyone,
Nancy thanks for the encouraging words. I am reluctant to take anything even vitamins! I am afraid of the side effects. I am a little leary. But its no turning back now. I understand about how the vitamins help absorb this CRAP and I am going to the Herb Shope today anyway so I will pick some up in prep for the weekend. I only have about 20 more beads to go until I'm done. I have been taking benadryl some at night and it does help. I have also stopped it as well. I am day 25 of my wean and I have to say the first 2 weeks were the worst. I was on 60. I am sure though that once I get down to mil I am sure I will have side effects.. I hope not severe though.. So far I have noticed that I am actually happier. Go figure. I am no where near as tired. infact I have more energy. My back pain has subsided completely! I had severe back pain for 12 weeks! I have lost 9 pounds! And before my wean I almost starved myself and didnt loose a pound. No more headaches either. No more sweating either. I am anxious to see what the next few days hold as when I am completely off this crap!

Glad to hear that you are feeling better. I actually felt better when I was tapering slow too. Funny isn't it.
I hope you don't get to bad of side effects when you are done. I have read that if you taper slow enough you won't but I have to yet hear from anyone that they didn't have some side effects.
The omega 3 helps get the Crapalta out of your system and it is the B-complex, magnesium, manganese and zinc that our body's need to recover.
I have to see the doctor tomorrow and will be asking him about these headaches as for some reason I have been getting bad ones again and not sure why.
Take care

Wow neil you have had great progress.
Nice to hear that someone was able to get off without all the side effects.
I am insanely jealous of the fishing though lol.
Everything has finally started to melt so maybe in a couple of weeks the ice will be gone.
Take care

neil
I am so sorry that you developed the side effects. I was so hoping that you were going to get off easily and it sure seemed like you were going to.
So now all I can say is to hang in there, they will pass.
Maybe it will not last as long for you since you have done so well up to this point. That certainly is a very real possibility.
Now you need to eat to heal the brain so go look online for what to eat to raise your neurotransmitters, GABA being at the top of the list.
Let me know if you have any questions
Take care of you

Hello Scaredbutstrongmom
Ok so you have answered the questions I asked after your other posting.
First thing is that 60mg is just too high of a dose to go cold turkey from. If you have any pills left then carefully take the capsule apart (I recommend doing with over a large bowl or plate) and take roughly 1/2 of the beads out. Put the capsule back together and take this 1/2 dose right away.
Omega 3, a multi vitamin/mineral supplement is needed too.
I will wait until I hear from you again to see what else we can do to make this easier for you.
Take care of you
Nancy

Rats Asthma - you will have to watch how much antihistamine you take as it can interfere with your asthma medication and we can have you going and having an asthma attack on top of everything else.
Talk to your pharmacist about the Benadryl, I think it is ok but something about the timing of the asthma meds and the benadryl is rattling around my brain. My sister is asthmatic and I know when her allergies are bad she needs to be careful when she takes her antihistamine so that it doesn't reduce the effectiveness of her asthma meds.
Let me know what he/she says as I hate it when I can't remember something lol
Take care of you
