Can you have someone pick it up from the doctor for you? My doctor writes out a few months worth dated a month apart so I don't need to drive out there every month.
Or maybe the doctor could Mali the Rx to you.

I'm guessing a tier 4 can't be faxed to the pharmacy? My doctor has faxed both a Ativan and Clonazepam. The pharmacy needs a paper Rx but a fax works for some.

CORRECTION:

That's 1/2 mg of Alprazolam, not 1/2 g !!

DWC,

This just became a tier 4 in either Nov. or Dec.  These drug RX's can't be faxed - it isn't a problem for me, just an aggravation!  The Dr.'s office is only 3 blocks from where I get the massage therapy, so I am always in the area.

I'm just really in a dilemma here...I'm not ready for more withdrawal crap!  Now I'm crying again :(

Sorry to be such a downer today, but I feel miserable

TFL
If you are not ready to deal with withdrawl from this right now, then don't. Resume taking it at a dose that doesn't cause you such distress.
It is all about the quality of life.

Xoxoxo hugs

Yes, DWC, I have had sinus probs before but not recently. I am afraid the vapor cigs are part of the prob, but not sure. Forgot to mention I have had a few of the dreaded brain zaps in the past few weeks. Not bad ones, but enough to scare me. Seems they happen just as I am about to doze off to sleep at night. What the heck is up with that? I need to make a list of the stuff I need to ask my doc about, but dang, I'm afraid she'll really think I've lost it. I am not normally a whiner and complainer, but this has just gotten the best of me lately!!! Anyone else had brain zaps after being off C. a year or more or is it just me? I am just a frikkin' basket case. I would be crying a river with TFL, just trying to keep it together. :(

TFL you said....

"I took another whole tablet about 30 min. ago..."

Was that a benzo or a hydrocodone?

Hi Clara,
I have brain zaps just as I'm about to doze off frequently. I read somewhere that this is something that happens to some people. (Even people that don't/never took antiD's)
I have only been off for a couple months. I can't figure out the exact day I stopped.

Do you get the brain zaps only just before you fall asleep?

I think there was an article from the Facebook IFLS group about why this happens. It may not be Cymbalta related. I will try to figure out where I read this.

Hang in there. We are all in this together :)

OH Clara,

What is happening to us?  The older I get, the more problems I seem to have - the body won't conform to my standards!

You are not a whiner - you need to take care of these things but I don't remember anyone mentioning brain zaps after a year off - not to say it can't happen. I'm so sorry, as I can understand your feelings.

My love and hugs to you, as well

Liz

Fh,

At that time I meant a Hydrocodone.  I have taken 2  1/2 mg of Alprazolam over the past 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. (Ttl 1mg)  I will probably kill myself with OD'ing here...

No ODing allowed :)

Fh,

Yes, I am just now feeling a bit better.  Thanks for asking!

My RX for Alprazolam is 2mg/day -  at the worst of the withdrawal I upped it to 3mg/day.  Since 6am I have only had 1-1/2 mg so think I will be OK...

I had been cutting back on it for a while - no more than 1-1/2 mg/day and was hoping to keep down dosing.  I'm so confused now that I will have to give this some serious thought.

I thought that I was through the worst and now there is another thing to contend with.  Maybe I will try taking 1/2 tablet for a few days and see how that goes.  I have only been on it (Hydrocodone) for a few months, maybe not even 6.  I can only try, but at my age, if I have to continue taking it, we're back to the quality of life...

egads, TFL, did you forget to take, or decide to stop taking, your hydrocodone (sp?) ... that's in the opioid family ... withdrawal stuff !! Get back on it, and have FH help you with a dosing down schedule ...

I haven't caught up on this thread ... or, did you decide to reduce/quit the alprazolam? That's gotta be done soooooo slowly, even tho' you don't use a large dose daily, and don't realize it, it's got itself wired right into your brain ...

You've been doing so well ... don't you dare go and cold turkey or "steep step down" on anything ever again ...

How are you feeling now?

Thanks, FN...

I'm feeling OK now but really tired.  Want to watch the Bulls game in a few minutes.

I just didn't take the Hydrocodone (today was the 3rd day) because the CuraMed was working so well I didn't need the pain reliever.  Stupid me didn't even think there would be withdrawal - I have gone without it before - maybe only for 1 day, tho...

No, I am not stopping the Alprazolam, just have cut back a bit, but that hasn't caused me any problems - I did that a couple of months ago.

Sometimes I just don't think, I guess - you would think I'd know better, but it never crossed my mind! :(

Zapp,

Thanks! Funny :D

The info for CuraMed is under the What are you Feeling....topic is Turmuric "curcumin" for Fibromyalgia and Arthritis

This stuff is all natural and really works!  It was first mentioned by DWC - She uses it and says it has helped immensely!  I ordered mine from Amazon - don't know if you can do that down under...

How are doing today, TFL? I just read this thread and I'm so sorry for the suffering:(

To add a funny to Zappa's. Check out Age- Activated Attention Deficit Disorder on YouTube. As funny as it is, it mirrors my existence of the 7-8 I am out of bed in a 24 hr. period.
Been trying to pack a bag to leave for two weeks. Can't seem to find the words for ' the talk' with Bildo. Start Zoloft today in place of Prozac. I am alone in this miserable depression. Everyone else here is having good days mixed with the bad. I don't remember a good day. 2 friends are looking for a place for me to live as I am unable. I want this to be over and it hasn't started.

This miserable depression you so beautifully describe is your gift and your curse. When the gift part is engaged it's magic; you and I are similar.

"I want this to be over and it hasn't started." It was over long ago. I wish you peace girl.

Much better today!

TM sure summed it up beautifully - I can't add to that ...

Please  take care of you - I hope that the Zoloft will help in time.
