Hey Axle. Sorry to read about what you are going through here.

I know something that helps me with the fear and depression is meditation. I have recently been using the Headspace App and has helped me calm down a lot. I know there are a bunch of apps like it too - Calm is another app that a lot of people use.

Headspace? Is the one with the little animations isn't it? It is very nicely laid out - starts you off very gently day 1, recaps as much as necessary, and teaches you how to get the most from your meditation. I got the impression of the author being very patient.

I use a lot of Jason Stephenson guided meditations. I find them on YouTube, use an online converter (to get mp3) and put them on my phone. Helps me unwind.

IUN - Yes, the one with some little animations. They can be pretty helpful too. I'll have to look into Jason Stephenson - there are a ton of good guided meditations on Youtube.

Axle - Patience is a virtue and will help you get through this. Try to remind yourself that you are taking the right steps to get better and that it is going to take time. You have a lot of people in this forum that have been through what you're going through now and came out better on the other side. You also have people like myself and IUN that are going through similar stretches. Hang in there - one day at a time.

Axle - I have just only noticed how active you have been on the site over the last few days. It is good how you voice your thoughts because it will help others who are yet to suffer the woes of this nasty pill. I hope that in being able to not hold yourself back here on the forum that it is somehow helping you.

Pobes' words right at the end there are gold.

One day at a time.

I'm laying here in bed afraid of trying to sleep because my withdrawal anxiety is still pretty bad. But I have got through it for the rest of the day, and I will come out the other side. Might be tomorrow, might be Sunday, but it will come. Patience is so difficult, I know. Just try not to put too much pressure on yourself.

"feels like I'm walking a tight rope"

A very good analogy.... and that you are constantly fighting for balance. Sums my day up well...

Ear ringing (tinnitus) is quite normal for both side effects and withdrawal. I got it with Zoloft and on and off during my current Cym withdrawal.

I kept reading tinnitus but just never thought to look it up. I hear some ringing as well, although it is only noticeable to be if I am in a space with no other sound, i.e. when I am meditating.

IUN, when you you say you got it with Zoloft, do you mean while you were on Zoloft or during withdrawal from Zoloft?

I just did the math I've only been off celexa for 2 months roughly and off the 60 mg cymbalta for 9 days I wrote something down I want to share when I was early on in this "Anxiety is never founded on truth or reality it is a fear that sinks in as you become aware of all possibilities of what's wrong the devil uses anxiety to cloud our minds to believe that everything that can go wrong will go wrong "

I got it about a week after starting it. Gave it 3 days to clear and it only got worse. So I stopped cold turkey and whilst the tinnitus did clear within a couple of days, I went through 5 days of the worst depression.

Maybe I asked this but is it possible 30mg cymbalta isn't enough to deal with the celexa withdrawls but I could just hold on at 30mg and I eventually will stabilize from the celexa with drawl please help I'd that sounds right

AxleJames,

In my opinion, yes it would be enough to deal with Celexa withdrawal.

AxleJames,

I just read that you were on lamotrigene and Adderall. You're no longer on that? Those two give withdrawal also. I would check with your doctor here. That were a lot of meds to get off.
Am I in the wrong here? Misread?

I may have answered that question here. Plus, Cymbalta has not kicked in yet!

Is that the army's decision?

I think you just hit the nail here with Adderall. Cold turkey?
Fishinghat would know more on that. Thank God they didn't take away the lamotrigene.

Now, I'm probably benzo when the time is right,. Use your Valium!
